DUNLOP ADHESIVES LAUNCHES EXTENDED AND EVEN EASIER TO SELECT RANGE OF GROUTS
Dunlop Adhesives has taken yet another step in its on-going mission to make it easier for the non-professional tiler to achieve professional looking results. The innovative manufacturer of tile adhesives, grouts and finishing products such as sealants has just extended its grout range – and made product selection more straightforward than ever at the same time.
Debi Bailey, Brand Manager at Dunlop Adhesives, explains: “In extending our selection of grouts with the addition of new colours and new pack sizes, Dunlop Adhesives also took the opportunity to review our existing products and to identify where improvements could be made.
“We recognised that people are now faced with an increasing array of tile sizes and shapes, numerous different background surfaces and additional challenges like the desire to incorporate underfloor heating.
“So, to make it easier to select a product whatever the scenario and to remove some of the margin for error, we have now made all our grouts suitable for use in a wide range of situations. Whether you’re tiling on floors or on walls and regardless of whether the application calls for flexibility or not, our new grouts can do it all.”
Aside from being easier to specify, Dunlop Adhesives also believes its new and extended grout range will be easier to sell. For a start, merchants will enjoy lower stock holding requirements. They now will be able to stock one product for multiple applications when in the past they may have had to carry a number.
In addition, staff will find it more straightforward to give product advice. Due to the ‘one-stop’ nature of the grouts, they can be confidently recommended to a customer, no matter what the tiling job. Plus, there’s a greater likelihood stockists will have the perfect grout to meet their customer’s needs. The extended range now includes no less than seven different colours – dark brown, grey, light grey, ivory, sandstone, limestone and white – as well as three bag sizes; 3.5, 5 and 10 kilos.
The entire range is also complemented by Dunlop Adhesives’ recently introduced grout selectors. These are available in two formats – as an A4 showcard, which is ideal for countertops, and as a convenient handheld swatch. These swatches feature the seven different grout colours printed onto clear films, which can then be laid onto a sample tile to show how the two items combined will look.
Summing up, Debi Bailey adds: “Making tiling easier is a cornerstone of the Dunlop Adhesives’ approach. This commitment manifests itself in many ways, from innovative Point-of-Sale materials and support literature like our ‘How to’ guides, through to products that offer more choice and more versatility.
“In the case of our new grout range, bigger is most definitely better.”
